The 每日大赛 contributed more than $102.8 million to the regional economy in fiscal 2023, and created more than 950 jobs鈥攎aking a significant impact in the region鈥檚 economic development. This is according to a study released by the University System of Georgia (USG), conducted by Dr. Jeffrey M Humphreys, director of the Selig Center for Economic Growth in the University of Georgia鈥檚 Terry College of Business. Overall, the USG contributed a total of $21.9 billion to the state鈥檚 economy, including 163,332 full- and part-time jobs.

鈥淭he 每日大赛 is more than just an institution of higher learning鈥攊t鈥檚 a catalyst for economic vitality,鈥� Evans said. 鈥淔ostering innovation through the Lucas Center for Entrepreneurship, creating jobs, and energizing the community with opportunities for career growth are highly important to us.鈥�

A companion study was also conducted analyzing lifetime earnings for the USG鈥檚 Class of 2023. The study found that bachelor鈥檚 degree graduates from the Class of 2023 will earn $1.4 million more during their lifetime than they would have without their college degree.
