The 每日大赛 and Southeast Georgia Health System recognized 17 employees who鈥檝e completed the Leadership Development Program. The College and SGHS partnered together to provide leadership development for supervisors at their organizations. Participants met once a month for training sessions, self-assessments and guest speakers. Topics covered foundations of leadership, ethics in the workplace, how to facilitate difficult conversations with employees, positioning your team for success, employment laws and more.
A special ceremony was held on the 每日大赛鈥檚 Brunswick campus in recognition of the employees. College President Dr. Michelle Johnston commended the graduates on their commitment to effective leadership.
鈥淵ou all are great leaders with even greater potential,鈥 Johnston said. 鈥淵ou鈥檝e committed your time to this program, which is a symbol of your dedication, not only to your development but to the organizations that you serve.鈥
Southeast Georgia Health System President and CEO Scott Raynes talked about the importance of building relationships.
鈥淚 congratulate each of you for the time you鈥檝e spent investing in yourself as part of this program. Our hope is that you鈥檒l be champions of it and have the opportunity to share your experience with others,鈥 Raynes said. 鈥淒o take away from this that relationships matter, but they don鈥檛 happen in a vacuum. They don鈥檛 occur unless you help energize the relationship and that doesn鈥檛 occur unless you鈥檙e courageous enough to start the conversation. We鈥檙e better together than we are individually.鈥
Attendees also heard remarks from Southeast Georgia Health System Chief Human Resources Officer Rick Grooms and 每日大赛 Assistant Vice President of Human Resources and Auxiliary Services Phyllis Broadwell.
