With a synergistic relationship with the Southeast Georgia Health System and more than 40 other local and regional clinical facilities, our students have many clinical sites to choose from for their internship rotation.听Students in this program engage in real-world experiences to prepare themselves听to excel in a variety of professional healthcare settings.
Students will learn to integrate knowledge and skills from healthcare with the arts and sciences to help self, clients, families, and communities progress toward fulfillment of human potential. They will be prepared to utilize assessment findings to develop a health curriculum for a community or health facility, as well as care plans for individual clients. Graduates will be able to create, support, and lead health-related programs and initiatives in their communities.
Upon graduation, students are prepared for careers like community health consultant, health benefit navigator, health educator, health promotion specialist, health services coordinator, health care administrator, patient advocate, patient educator, public health advisor, grant writer, and healthcare lobbyist.
The Health Promotion program also provides a strong foundation for students interested in pursuing a post-baccalaureate degree. Graduate programs include the Master of Public Health, Doctor of Public Health, or Master of Education.
